Climate and nature are fabulous, You are right between Rio and Sao Paulo, with 3.4 hours drive to each and 5 min helicopter trip to Angra’s small jet airport, and we have a small grass airstrip prepared in the village.

Bananal is the nearest city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

The population density around here is 16.5/km². The population in Bananal 2008 was 10,727. The area is 616.320 km². Its boundaries are three cities of Rio de Janeiro state (Barra Mansa to the north, Rio Claro to the east and Angra dos Reis to the south), as well as São José do Barreiro and Arapeí (both in São Paulo) to the west. It is the easternmost municipality in Sâo Paulo state.

The more than 50 Hectares of land belonging to the Roseira Fazenda, will be the center for a self-builder ecological and turisme development, showing how forestry and agriculture can be integrated in ecological turisme. About 32.000 Pine trees will produce resins, that will finance a small mobile saw mill to be rented out to buyers of lots, helping them to build a log cabin or bigger wooden houses of their own design.

Locals can be contracted, but the lot owner will have total responsibility architectural,  financial and execution. The main farm house will be available as restaurant “pousada”  or Bed and Breakfast, quality wise like B&B Fanø, and will hold the administration of resins extraction, lot sales and hotel/tourism organisation.

By committing to purchase a lot with the tag price of USD 40.000 to be paid over 10 years, you can build your cabin and enter it into the pool of cabins being operated as Eco Village Roseira. The wood, sawmill and manpower are available and pending your project, construction time and your own sales efforts, you may be able to make return-on-investment fast.
